(Booth # 3466)
Torrance, CA (March 6, 2015) – Morinaga Nutritional Foods will
once again exhibit at the Natural Products Expo West Show, March 6th through 8th in Anaheim, CA. Morinaga
is the manufacturer of the first and only shelf-stable tofu available in the U.S., using a revolutionary aseptic packaging process that extends shelf life—without preservatives—while maintaining nutritional value and flavor, retaining freshness until opened. This year Morinaga will unveil a new, larger booth (#3466) that will allow them to better serve their buyers and customer base by showcasing the range of products they offer.
The Mori-Nu line of tofu features six varieties (Organic Firm, Extra Firm, Firm, Lite Firm and Soft) including a
new Organic Nigari. Nigari is a sea
mineral and natural firming agent that gives this tofu the traditional Japanese
flavor. All of Morinaga’s Mori-Nu Tofu
is non-GMO—made with U.S. grown soybeans, and is packed aseptically, which
ensures a long shelf life without refrigeration until opened. Tofu is a healthy, vegetarian, and
high-quality protein that contains essential amino acids for growth. It is non-dairy, gluten-free and contains no
cholesterol or saturated fat.
Silken Soy Puree
Morinaga’s Silken Soy Puree is a revolutionary new ingredient designed for food service
and industrial use. Because it has a
higher density than regular milk or soymilk, it has a wide range of
applications from beverages and soups, to ice cream and dressings. Available in
organic, conventional and high density varieties and packaged in shelf-stable bulk
aseptic containers—without the use of preservatives—Silken Soy Puree is a
functional dairy substitute that adds the richness that consumers crave,
without adding extra calories, cholesterol or fat. Proudly made in the U.S.A from high-quality
non-GMO soybeans, the flavor is mild, making it an excellent alternative

longum BB536 and B. breve M-16V.
Through its extensive research on nutrition, Morinaga confirmed that the BB536
strain is a safe and beneficial probiotic strain that can provide a number of
health benefits. “For over 40

particular strain for a wide range of applications, and with over 100 published studies, Morinaga
BB536 is a well-established probiotic for your consumers that we are excited to
showcase at the Natural Products Expo West Show,”

Morinaga offers multiple strains (including Lactobacillus),

According to the Soyfoods Association of North America (www.soyfoods.org), 42 percent of Americans consume soy foods or beverages at least once a month, compared to 30 percent back in 2006. More than 75 percent of consumers perceive soy products as healthy and 47 percent of consumers seek out products specifically because they contain soy.

Mori-Nu products may be found at Whole Foods, Kroger/Fred Meyer, Hy-Vee, Wegmans, Publix, Meijer, Ahold (Giants and Stop & Shop), Woodman’s, Harris Teeter, Winco and select Costco locations.
Morinaga Nutritional Foods, Inc. is a leader in developing new, easy ways for Americans to incorporate soy in their diet. Founded in 1985, the Torrance-based firm created unique “aseptically” packaged tofu under the Mori-Nu brand name to allow its tofu products to remain free of preservatives and irradiation, as well as to enable it to be shelf-stable without refrigeration until opened.
