Mori-Nu Announces New Formula, New Package
Design for Silken Tofu Made with Organic Soybeans
Los Angeles, California (March 2003) - In response to new organic food guidelines outlined by the U.S. Department of Agriculture,
Morinaga Nutritional Foods has developed a new formulation for the company's Mori-Nu Silken Tofu Made with Organic Soybeans.
The new recipe uses evaporated soymilk as its base, resulting in a very firm texture and improved taste. To date, the company
is able to make only one "firmness" with the new formula. Therefore, Mori-Nu Silken Tofu Made with Organic Soybeans is now
available in Firm texture only. The product will be appearing on store shelves beginning this month in a new package design
that includes a color photo and recipe for Fresh Spinach Lasagna.
Morinaga Nutritional Foods continues to make all varieties of its silken tofu with only non genetically modified (non-GMO)
soybeans. The formulas for the other five Mori-Nu Tofu varieties (Soft, Firm, Extra Firm, Lite Firm, and Lite Extra Firm)
will remain unchanged. However, the company will introduce new package designs for these five Mori-Nu Silken Tofu SKU's later
this spring, beginning in May 2003. The new package designs will feature fresh, updated color schemes, full-color recipe photos,
new recipes, and directions to more recipes on the company's website at www.morinu.com.

Tofu and Creamy Soy Soups in convenient, long shelf-life packaging. All shelf-stable Mori-Nu brand products are Kosher certified
